Yoga and Wildlife Adventure Retreat: 6 Days (5 Nights)

A Yoga Retreat with a Difference

Now leaving on the 1st, 10th and 20th of every month.

We are excited to share our new program with you; an all-inclusive 6-day Yogic adventure retreat covering two stunning locations- North Lakeside, Pokhara and Meghauli, Chitwan– that’s packed full of yoga, meditations, a jungle safari, canoeing in the Rapti River, good food, and a small difference. What makes this retreat special is that it also contributes towards the funding of a child in need’s tuition in PK’s hometown of Meghauli, Chitwan.

For every person that comes on this retreat,
we donate 5% towards school tuition for a child in need in Meghauli.

This does not come at any extra cost to you, there’s no hidden agenda or pressure to donate anything else; we take a percentage from the price of your program and give it directly to the school to fund the education of a child whose parents are otherwise unable to afford their tuition. All you need to do is arrive at our centre in Pokhara and get ready to relax, rejuvenate and have some adventure.

A Note From PK:

Namaste my friends,For those of you who don’t know me, I’m PK, I was born and raised in the small village of Meghauli, Chitwan.

My memories of my childhood are blissful; I remember playing with my friends in the lush Terai jungle and swimming in its vast flowing rivers. I remember warm summer days cutting grass for the cows in the National Park. I also remember, vividly, being told that my parents couldn’t afford to send me to school anymore, even after I passed all my exams. I remember their faces and I could feel the weight of it burdening their shoulders.

That weight was lifted thanks to a dear friend in the family in the US, Hem Lal Kafle, who saw something in me and offered to pay my tuition for the remainder of my schooling. I remember seeing the relief and joy on my parents’ faces when they knew my education would be sponsored, and it’s been my lifelong dream ever since to share that gift with others.

This program is an expression of that dream. We don’t want to take any extra money from visitors, rather, we will take a percentage of your program fee and put that directly towards the tuition of a child in my hometown. I can’t wait to share my village, my story and my vision with you and together help to make my dream a reality.

Sending love and positive energy to you all,

PK

~ This retreat is dedicated to all the children and families in Meghauli who still hold that very same burden on their shoulders every day, and to Mr Hem Lal Kafle for his kindness and support over the years. Without you my life may have turned out very differently.

Location & Accommodation

The retreat will be divided between our stunning Phewa Lakeview Centre in Pokhara and the picturesque jungle village of Meghauli, Chitwan, where you can experience authentic Nepali jungle life off the beaten track and away from the busy tourist traps.

When it comes to accommodation, we will take care of everything. In Pokhara, we will host you in our beautiful centre which boasts panoramic views of Phewa Lake, the Shanti Stupa and the lush surrounding wildlife; where you can see parrots, eagles and even monkeys all while learning new poses, meeting new people and reconnecting with the divine within you.

While in Meghauli you will be staying in one of Chitwan’s best kept secrets; a hidden oasis tucked away on the edge of the jungle, furnished almost entirely from bamboo and natural materials- you truly feel immersed in the jungle experience!

Each bamboo lodge comes complete with comfortable, clean beds and hanging mosquito net as well as an attached bathroom with hot water, shower and flushable toilet. Outside in the communal garden there is space for outdoor yoga, hammocks to relax in and a large fire pit to socialise around in the evening. There is also a small restaurant with warm and inviting staff who are quick to make you feel at home.

After the Retreat

After the farewell breakfast in Chitwan on the 6th day, Bus tickets will be provided for your onward travel, wherever that may be! Popular destinations from Chitwan include Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Lumbini (the birthplace of Buddha). If you could let us know your next destination in advance that would be greatly appreciated. And of course, you are welcome to stay in Chitwan and further explore its natural beauty and sights if you choose! We would also love to keep in touch with you after your retreat and send you updates on the child or children your retreat has helped sponsor.

Available Dates

The retreat departs on the 1st, 10th and 20th of every month and runs for the 5 night/6 day duration.

After the retreat is over you can travel onwards to your next destination, or remain in Chitwan to explore some more. If you are travelling in a group (minimum 4 people) and want to have the retreat to yourselves we are also happy to organise another date to suit your schedules!
